Reply Contact Have you noticed how much signage is appearing in our parks – somewhat like the clutter of signs we see in our streets.  Time for action; what signage would you do away with and what sign would you erect?  I would get rid of all the defunct signs that repeat themselves or that could be integrated into one single sign.  As for a sign that I would erect, it would say; “Your local Park, free at point of use; use it or lose it!”

  Re: Use it or lose it! Reply Contact   Yes! How about a sign with pictures of the people running the park, such as community groups, volunteers, friends, staff, with pictures of folk gardening? Something that shouts: “While you might not see us everyday, we are here! This park really is run by you, for you! To get even more involved, ring this number....”   I'd do away with any signs saying “stay off the grass”, as per park folklaw.
